Julia’s Brother: Julia, I thought I told you to stay out of my – [Art kills him with an axe]
Line of Events
Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.. Director Damien Leone said that several big studios showed interest in financing this movie based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 ( 2022), even without a full script, but he turned them all down because he is certain that they would never let him film the opening scene alone, which he describes as "very controversial". Leone commented that the only reason that he can be so uncompromising in his depiction of horror and gore is because he finances his movies independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down, and has no big studio breathing down his neck to make the movie more mainstream.. Mia mentions the 5 year anniversary of the original massacre was coming up soon, but it took place on Halloween, and this movie taking place on Christmas 5 years later would mean the anniversary had just passed 2 months ago..
If you’re looking for gore look no further!
There’s an uncut version of the film that’s 2 hours and 25 minutes long with 5 additional scenes.. Features Terrifier 2 (2022). A Work of ArtWritten by Drew Fulk, Joe Occhiuti, Paul Wiley, Spencer Charnas and Steve SopchakPerformed by Ice Nine Kills and Shavo Odadjian. Terrifier 3 had all the gore that we’ve been craving!
However, if I’m being honest, none of the kills topped the salt scene in Terrifier 2
Overall I’d say there are more kills and gore than the second movie, but none of the kills (even the main kill) were all that over the top like the second movie had. Another thing, half of the kills were left for you to imagine since half of them either happen off-screen or have already happened by the time the camera pans to the scene. This was a major disappointment as a lot of the "main kills" should have been shown since they were supposed to be emotional. In terms of the plot, I think I liked the second movie better because the pacing of this movie was a little off.
Finally, the last 20 minutes really let me down
Between the time jumps, sienna plot, and art plot, the pacing just wasn’t right. It also did very little to build up on Art or Siennas story. It just felt like there was a lot of down time between each kill. Also, you never really build an emotional connection in this movie with any of the characters aside from Sienna.
Overall I’d say Terrifier 2 was better
Almost none of the kills were shown on screen and that trust me those kills should’ve been shown. Art the Clown, Pennywise, and Killer Klowns are just a few of the comical creatures that send shivers down our spines. Check out the most terrifying clowns to grace the screen.
