The only place off limits was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador
Line of Events
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. Producers are persuading both the US and UK governments to allow them to use real-life settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-recent US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming at the Foreign Secretary’s office , which is rarely an honor given to any film or screen production, especially an American one.
I loved every second of this series
Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for the purpose of filming the film. ). I watched The Night Agent, I thought it couldn’t get much better than this, I was wrong.
So sensitive and fascinating
Everything you could want in a series. The characters and acting were top notch. Rufus Sewell again and what a role he played not knowing what he was up to next.
Played it to perfection
Keri Russell was simply magnificent as the ambassador. I also loved David Gyasi. Overall a great series, maybe a bit short but worth watching.
The best political show since The West Wing
Excellent!
