Men and women live in a giant silo underground and have few regulations that they believe will protect them from the toxic and corrupt world above ground. Whether they are exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the heroes of science fiction. Season 1 covers the first 30 episodes of the book “Wool” – the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor in various episodes spin in the wrong direction due to the orientation of the blades.
Just my kind of series
Featured on WatchMojo: 10 TV Shows to Binge on in 2023 (2023) I really enjoyed Silo. I love mystery and suspense. However, I have not read or heard of the books that Shilo is based on. The story is good and interesting.
They don’t even know what stars are
The series is set 140 years after the apocalypse. The remaining 10,000 people currently live in silos, and these people have never been outside of the silos. What they do know is that going outside the silos is deadly. Some people decide to go outside to learn more, but they always die.
The acting is good, as is the character development
Those who stay in the silos can witness when someone wants to leave through the window, and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliette Nichols, who tries to find out what’s outside the silo and why you can’t get out without dying. The plot can be a bit slow, though, due to a few filler episodes. They definitely could have shortened the series by at least two episodes, but I don’t really mind because the show as a whole is very good.
