Live-action adaptation of the 1937 Disney animated film 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'.. Check out all the major announcements and updates from D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.. Following comments by Peter Dinklage alleging the original film depicted the dwarfs in a negative light, Disney announced on January 25, 2022, that they would approach the characters differently, while also consulting members of the dwarfism community. Many fans of the original including Dylan Postl pointed out that many of Dinklage's remarks were incorrect. For one, he said the dwarfs didn't live in a cave.
